THE SAFEST MINIBUS IN THE UK

Brecon Coachworks together with Swansea University and Irisbus Iveco (UK) have combined resources to produce what is believed to be the safest Minibus in the UK today. This has required close collaboration with BUSK and Stuart's Campaign, as well as suppliers of specialist equipment from both within and outside the bus and coach industry.

Named “Iovan” who was appropriately a Celtic Protector of Youth, this vehicle is the only Minibus in today's market with endorsements from BUSK and Stuart's Campaign.

With new legislation making operators, authorities and schools directly responsible for the safety of those under their care, throughout the development of Iovan, Brecon Coachworks have reviewed and improved every aspect of the minibus and its design.

In light of recent changes to improve the safety of coach-built vehicles by the Vehicle Commissioning Agency (VCA), Brecon Coachworks have begun the certification process to gain Whole Vehicle Type Approval that will be implemented in April 2009.

Following the launch of Iovan the vehicle will be available for demonstrations throughout the UK.
